ABOUT US

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16

Our Mission

The Lantern House is a non-profit organization based in Athens, Georgia. Our goal is to nourish the arts, explore the connection between art and faith, and create community for Christ-centered artists of all disciplines.

Our Team

Brian-and-Lana.heic

Brian and Lana Wetzel

Brian and Lana live with their four kids on a quiet lake in Arnoldsville, GA. In between homemaking and homeschooling, Lana is working on her latest novel. Brian can often be found writing songs or writing code.

They enjoy just about anything outside, reading good books, and are learning to appreciate the beauty of ordinary life together.

Katherine-And-Jake.heic

Katherine and Jake Parham

Jake and Katherine Parham are a couple who love music, nature, and a good hands-on project. Together, with their 6 children, they have a heart of hospitality and enjoy bringing people together in their home.

You may find them reading a book in their “reading room”, sipping tea in the garden, or enjoying a delicious meal around the table.

Matt-And-Savannah.heic

Matt and Savanna Osburn

Matt and Savanna have been in the Athens area for 12 years. They are musicians and hobbyists and enjoy mini-homesteading and raising their young family.

They love to get away on a day hike or to play in the river and they spend many weekends on the lake with family.

Luke-and-Lane-Marie.heic

Luke and Lane Marie O'Kelley

Luke and Lane Marie live just outside of Athens with their daughter Estelle and their cat Lewis (after the late great CS Lewis). Luke is a drummer and engineer, and Lane Marie is a singer/songwriter and artist.

They love getting to record out of their home studio (affectionately dubbed "Red House Studio"), going to their new favorite Athens restaurant, Pretty Boy, and traveling (the south of France is their favorite destination. They'll go back one day.)

They love to stop and talk with their guests. You may find Lee in his workshop, playing music, reading theology or on a tractor. You could find Amy in the garden, running her summer camps or cleaning. They are members of St. Thomas Anglican Church.
